Help With Making Templates Editable In The Admin Area

  Hi

  I have already built the HTML for the page layouts, some pages have a 2 column layout and some a 3 column layout.

  I need the ability to add content to these layouts via the admin area. For example if I created a new page that uses my 2 column layout I need the ability to add whatever I like in both of these columns via the dashboard, does that make sense. For example

  Left hand Column = Text
  Right Hand Column = Image

  The whole system needs to work as a CMS and not a BLOG.
