    I need to transfer a domain that I already own, but it has the ending .no, and I cannot connect my blog to this domain name.

    Is it at all possible to map this domain name with the ending .no?

    Yes. Staff can add a zone record for you to do that. What is the exact URL please?

    Domain mapping of an existing domain URL that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. You will have to you have to renew both the domain name and the domain mapping upgrade every year in two different places.

    Important Notes Before Upgrading http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/#important-notes-before-upgrading

    Mapping an existing domain costs $13. annually. In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from. If you have registered a .wordpress.com blog you log in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchase a domain name by purchasing an annually renewable domain mapping upgrade for the blog.

    See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

    Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

    My old domain has expired. Prior to it expiring i purchased a new domain name, that would take affect once old name expired. The new domain name is showing active yet i get a blank screen when trying to access my site. I can not reach anyone and there is not a customer care number to contact anyone. How can i get this resolved. I have clients who can not see my site due to this error that i intended to avoid.

    @fnndnorge – go ahead an map your .no name to your blog using the instructions from @TT above – in many cases the zone record is added automatically – in some cases the staff will need to add the zone record for you – things might work fine

    However – for the staff to help you if there is a problem with a zone record they will need the whatever.no domain name to add the zone record for you

    @officialtatoo – nobody can really help you since you have not given anyone enough info to even guess at what type of help you need –

    Start your own thread since your problem is not related to this thread at all – also need are the old domain name, the new domain name and the base WordPress.COM blogs that you want the custom domain names to map to

  • @fnndnorge

    Please post again if you have any trouble.

    @officialtatoo
