Help with Memberpress

    Do I have to have a business plan through WordPress to use the Memberpress plugin?

    Hi there,

    Yes on WordPress.com it is not possible to upload themes or plugins (from other providers) unless you have our Business plan installed.

    Another option (if you do not mind going fully DIY) is to instead set up a self-hosted WordPress site, which are sites that you create on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.

    The self-hosted version of WordPress is more advanced and completely DIY, but would also allow you to add 3rd party plugins or themes.  Please note that this version of WordPress is usually the choice of web designers and developers, as well as advanced users, so it does not come with support like you have here under the Business plan, which includes 24/7 live chat support.
