Help with minor change using old Sandbox
-
Yeah, I should have upgraded ages ago but I didn’t. And now I’ve been away from CSS so long I think I’ve forgotten everything I ever knew :( In any event, I’m using Sandbox 0.6.1 and I’ve added a contributor. I’d like to have the post author info at the top of the post, next to the date, but I can’t figure out how to do it.
Or maybe it can’t be done in this old version. If anyone knows, I’d appreciate a pointer. Thanks.

@vivian, long time no hear. How you doing?
I just looked at your blog, http://blog.vivianpaige.com/ , and it appears you found it, correct?

Hi TSP! I’m hanging in there.
No, I didn’t find it. It’s still down at the bottom, in the meta area. Maybe I’m hallucinating but I thought when I first coded this thing that I could have it at the top next to the date.

.entry-meta .author {position:absolute; top:10px; right:0; border:0;} .post {position:relative;} .entry-meta .metasep {display:none;} -
Sorry I’m just getting back to see this.
@halluke – That’s close – but I really wanted it next to the date. But this gives me an idea of how to do it. (Also will have to reformat the font.)Really appreciate the help!

It is hard to place it next to the date as this has a variable width. I would recommend wither aligning it to the right as in my previous example, or placing it underneath.

I thought I had it fixed width? And I did leave it aligned to the right.
One more question, if you don’t mind: I’d like the name at the top of the post on the single page as well. I tried this:
body.single .entry-meta .author { position:absolute; top:45px; right:0; border:0; } body.single .post { position:relative; }but it didn’t move it.
