Help with moving blogs

I have an old unused blog with a template that I like, but I want to start a different blog to use as my portfolio with a different name. I want to keep the blog name from blog 1, as I may use it in the future, but start a new one with the contents of blog 2.
I found instructions to move the stuff from blog 2 over, but it said I will no longer have the name of blog 1. Is there any way to do this without first having to lose the name of blog 1? I hope I’m making sense. I guess you could say I want to SWITCH them.

Ok, so what is the URL for blog 1? This being the site you’re looking to work with?
Also, are you looking to retain the content of blog 1?

It sounds like you’re looking to combine two sites under one domain – is that right?
