Help with new domain

  I have purchased my own domain and host and am trying to move my blog to the new host. I have sucessfully installed wordpress and even downloaded the same theme I am using, but I never can get my blog to look the same–not even close. If I upgraded to wordpress 2.5 would this solve my problem.

  Is there an easy way to transfer my existing blog exactly the way it is to my new domain and host?
