Help with opensource wordpress

  Advice please.
  At one point someone set up a WordPress opensource website for me hosted by GoDaddy. I could not understand it. It was then transferred to a managed site for me but I still struggled.

  I let my domain name sixtyyearsyoung.org lapse and also the hosting. I was told my content would still be accessible but I cannot find it.

  I realise WordPress.org is different from WordPress.com but I cannot log into .org as I have no account with them.

  Can anyone here help or advise me please? I would like to look at material I put in there to decide whether or not I want any of it.

  I might add that I have spoken with go daddy and they cannot retrieve it. I have no contact with the person who set up the site. Thank you

  WordPress.org just supplies software. Logging in there would just give you access to support forums etc not sites build with the wordpress software which can be hosted anywhere. If your site was hosted on GoDaddy servers then that is where your content would have been. If you didn’t think to take a backup then GoDaddy would have deleted it three years ago when you didn’t keep up your payments.

  However it is always worth checking the Wayback Machine and I see some content survives at https://web.archive.org/web/20210621003614/https://sixtyyearsyoung.org/ which perhaps you could copy/paste to a free site here at WordPress.com.

  Wow, you gem thank you!

  In fact my domain name went 3 years ago, naively I thought GoDaddy went with it, but September 23 I found GoDaddy taking over £750 from my account which apparently was the renewal I had agreed to when the guy set the original site up. They refunded me so no drama but interestingly today they couldn’t find anything!

  Thank you so much for your help. I’m having a training plan devised for me tomorrow so have been searching for any bits I can find today that I want to try to pull together. I am deeply indebted to you thank you for your kindness
