Help with page layout

  I am new to the blog thing and really need some help. I tried to search through the forum, but I am either just that dense, or something is amiss. I want to figure out a few things. How do I get my posts to list on one page vs. separate pages? How can I get categories on the side of my page so that as time progresses, people can look at my posts month by month? Also, what is the easiest way to upload pics into my blog? If it would be easier, and if some gracious person out there has the time, I would be more than happy to talk on the phone and figure it out. It is crunchtime for me. I leave for India Saturday and want to be able to know what I’m doing.

  Assuming your blog is hosted on WordPress.com you should find support a helpful resource. Also, please consider to link your blog to your username as already explain in 8 things to know before posting in this forum so volunteers and/ or staffs won’t hesitate to give direct answer(s).

  I am new to this.. thought I posted the first one under Support.. then thought that maybe that wasn’t the right place.. so I posted it under Questions. I will figure this out eventually!

  Not a problem.
  The main forum page combines all the separate forums (except “off topic”) into one place where questions posted most recently are seen all at once. You can search, or browse, the separate forums for CSS, Ideas, Widgets, Questions, and Support, especially for older questions. To make it even more confusing, the forums for “Support” and “Questions” are not very clearly differentiated. I hope you have noticed that volunteers answer questions very quickly?
