Help with people signing up on my website

    Kindly assist me to stop a Spam on my Account.
    Everyday, i get messages that someone signed up / Registered New User.
    This is an Example of how the letters always come :

    SUBJECT : [Omilli] New User Registration
    SENDER : WordPress
    RECIEVER : (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    CONTENT OF THE EMAIL BELOW :
    New user registration on your site Omilli:
    Username: WVpaYwdu
    Email: (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    PLEASE HOW CAN I HAVE THIS THING STOPPED. IT IS OVER 300 ALREADY

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

    What is the URL of the site with the problem?

    Hi there!

    As explained above, we aren’t able to directly help with sites that use the WordPress.org software as they are hosted elsewhere. We’re a different entity called WordPress.com. And your site is not hosted by us.

    I’d suggest ensuring that “Anyone can register” option is turned off on your site. You can check for it in wp-admin → Settings → General. If that doesn’t help, please post on the WordPress.org support forum here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums
