Help with Plugin Instillation

    Hello!
I have been struggling for more than 2 days to figure out how to install WooCommerce. The files have been downloaded onto my computer, and I have unzipped the files, but now I am stuck. I’m not sure why (or how) the files were downloaded to my computer when I tried to install it on WordPress, and the directions I found online to fix this issue are unclear, as I have never tried to make a website before.
I have looked online to the best of my ability to figure this out, but I’m starting to think this website is made for people that are more advanced or knowledgable on website building or just computers/technology in general.
If anyone could please help me (using the simplest terms/instructions), please do, because do not want to start over completely somewhere else.
    Thank you!

    Hi there!

So sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues setting up WooCommerce, however, your site allaboutmae.me isn’t hosted at WordPress.com, instead it is using the self-hosted version WordPress.org, hosted at DreamHost.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

To install the WooCommerce plugin, you don’t necessarily need to download the plugin on your computer.

From your site’s dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New and search for WooCommerce, you’ll see a button to Install Now and then Activate.

From now on, use the WordPress.org forum: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

In addition to what @wpnas mentioned, you’ll find support for the WooCommerce plugin at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

If you have a paid WooCommerce plan, you can open a ticket at https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/ while logged in to your account.

Thank you both for your help. I didn’t know there were two separate WordPress websites (I was told to use DreamHost by a friend, which led me to WordPress). I don’t know why I tried to use such advanced website creation programs when I can hardly operate my own laptop, LOL.
