Help with plugin modification

Hi,
I don’t know if is the place where I should ask. I was buying a theme on a commerce website with this kind of stuff, unfortunately the theme have some missing parts, I was facing some bugs what I didn’t expected but somehow I was sorting that out. Unfortunately this theme is using some private plugins (made by the same developer, what can not help me or doesn’t want, support is pretty “general” and doesn’t even want to give information).
I would like to edit a plugin what is a feature post plugin, showing some posts on the main page ( https://ibb.co/NpLnxPX ) but in the personaliser I only have the option to select post individually, recent posts (what I already have, like a normal blog) and popular posts (what doesn’t work for me) (see image https://ibb.co/ZMfCVFp ). I’m interested to add there (last image) for example a Post type -> random articles , what will automatically change the articles with another ones after every refresh (example: You might also like: —-1,2,3 artilces—-).
Is it anyone here who can help me with that? unfortunately I don’t have too much experience in the core code and php.

This site is not hosted with WordPress.com and so the support is very limited.
Also, as you’re looking to modify the code of the plugin, ultimately the plugin developer would be best placed to help.
That said, it may be the case the plugin is not doing what you want to.
What are you looking to build exactly? Is there a site you’re looking to emulate? Perhaps I can offer some guidance as to what could work over here at WordPress.com.
