Hi there. To change your font size globally for the entire blog you need to edit the theme’s CSS, for which you’ll need the Custom Design upgrade.
However, you can change the font-size on a post-by-post basis using inline CSS in the text/html editor. You’ll need to make these changes for every post individually, and if you ever want to change it back, e.g. if you install a new theme and the resized font doesn’t look good with that theme, you’ll need to fix each post individually as well.
Instructions to do that can be found in this tutorial: https://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/11/formatting-text-pt-5/
See here for more info on the custom design upgrade:

Blog posts by default appear on your home page (main feed) in reverse chronological order. You cannot sort posts on the main feed, but you can set up category pages that will only display posts that have a certain category assigned. You’ll need to create a custom menu in order to use category pages. See these articles for comprehensive instructions:

http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/12/19/custom-menus/To not have your main feed appear on the home page you’ll need to assign a static page as your home page. Instructions to do that here:
