help with re-establishing connection from WordPress Admin to AWS instance

    I have inherited control of our website and discovered it is hosted in an AWS Instance. We lost our website last Sunday and through a lot of learning i have managed to get it back up and visible. However i have now lost the ability to administer the site through WP Admin as it cannot connect to the database. I have tried to amend the WP-Config.php but i cannot replace the amended file – the transfer keeps failing.

    Before you state that i need to speak with AWS – i have and i am getting bounced between them and yourselves.

    Any help with this would be gratefully appreciated.
