Help with Recovering Website Contents for Expired Domain

    Hi everyone,

    I’m hoping to get some advice. My domain akisvarietea.store expired on November 9, 2023, and it hasn’t been used since. The site was hosted with another provider, but I wasn’t able to export a backup before the hosting plan expired because the file was too large.

    I’ve already reached out to Hostinger customer support, though I think it might have been an AI chatbot rather than a real person. They responded with: “Once a hosting plan is canceled or expired, the associated backups are typically removed from our systems. If you didn’t download any backups while the hosting plan was active, recovering the content through our systems might not be possible.”

    I also tried contacting WordPress customer support, but it seems like you need to pay for a plan to do so. So, I’m trying my luck here instead. If I repurchase the domain name, would I be able to access the website contents or log in to the wp-admin dashboard? Does WordPress store any backup copies of site data, even if the domain was hosted elsewhere?

    Any help or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

    We can’t help as your site wasn’t running on the wordpress.com platform. If you didn’t make a proper backup, there is nothing to recover.
