Help with recycling blog name

  I deleted by blog and want to recycle the name (canoeecology.wordpress.com). The create blog says that name is already taken (I assume by me because that is what it was called) and when I type in the name in google it says that blog has been deleted. I am new to wordpress (a few weeks) and did not realize that if I deleted my blog I couldn’t make a new one. I couldn’t get the page structure right which is why I deleted it.

  I’m sorry but deleted blog URLs here are not recycled.

  and http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
