Help with redirect loops

  Hi there!

  Jumping straight to the problem I have, the error of redirect loops suddenly occurred last night. Before this happened, I was trying out something with the subdomains; I could still access my webpage perfectly fine after that though. I could see the url at the bottom of the page alternating between elliawrites.com and elliawrites.wordpress.com, not sure if this will help.

  I’m mapping my domain from GoDaddy and I’ve tried out several solutions I saw online but nothing has worked so far. I also tried saving the nameservers to the WordPress ones but it always automatically switches back to the GoDaddy ones if I adjust the forwarding to elliawrites.wordpress.com. With the WordPress nameservers, entering elliawrites.com directs me to a page that says my domain is bought (not to my WordPress).

  I’m pretty sure I have messed things up when following online solutions (my own fault) and I’d appreciate if anyone could help with this.

  For starters EXACTLY what do you want to do? It sound like you are trying several different things, some mutually exclusive.

  Do you want elliawrites.com. to be displayed when someone visits elliawrites.wordpress.com? If so – undo whatever you have done and follow the instructions below

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  Keep in mind it takes 24 to 72 hours for changes to reach the far corners of the internet and access to your site can be erratic during that time, including redirect loops or complete failure to access your site – also you will be the last one to see the changes

  Sorry for not clarifying- yes, I do want elliawrites.com to be displayed, instead of elliawrites.wordpress.com. I will follow what you’ve shared, thank you so much, I really appreciate it!!

  Hi there,

  I just checked your domain at http://elliawrites.com/ and it’s working now with your site elliawrites.wordpress.com. As auxclass mentioned it can take up to 72 hours for you to see that change, so don’t worry if it doesn’t show up right away for you.

  It looks like you don’t me at this point, but please let me know if I can do anything more to help! :)
