Help with Redirects and DNS

    Domain pointing hell.

    Hi everyone. Hope someone can help me. Actually at this point I am will to pay someone!

    I registered my domain at GoDaddy.

    I signed up at WordPress and got talked into a Domain Hosting Pland and a bunch of stuff including Domain Redirect.

    Then, based on my needs, a third party theme which needs to be self hosted, I paid for a hosting package at GoDaddy.

    Because I was able to do this quickly, I was able to cancel the WordPress hosting package.

    Question: When someone wants to go to mysite.com which is registered at GoDaddy, should that be pointing or going to WordPress in DNS Settings and in turn that points to my GoDaddy hosted site or should the GoDaddy DNS settings just point directly to the GoDaddy Hosted site.

    I guess also what I do not understand is wheteher there is a link between the two? Once its all setup and working, is there some link of some type or when you self host does WordPress have noting to do with it? If there is a link, is it established from the Host site (WordPress Download) or from the WordPress website?

    All confused? Can’t make it work….
