Help with registration

I am trying to help my sister get started on wordpress. She filled out the sign-up page, but the confirmation email has not arrived after six hours, so we are stuck. We’ve looked in her mail client for “from” “wordpress.com” with no luck. I am only here another day, so waiting won’t help. I assume she filled her email address correctly, because when she tries to sign-up again, we get a “registration pending” message. But no way to send another confirmation email and I can’t find a phone number or even an email. Please advise. Thanks!

No. It’s been two days but no email, and the site won’t yet let her try again. Very frustrating.

Blimey. Thanks for your reply. I wonder if this is usual. I’ve put a message through to the ‘happiness engineers’ – I’ll let you know if we get anywhere.

I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting. Note that your sister ought to check here email client spam filter rto see if the email is there or not.@thesecateur
As you already emailed Staff posting here is counterproductive. When responding to support tickets and forum threads tagged for their attention Staff work forward from those with the earliest sate and time stamps to the most recent date and time stamps. -

Thanks for the information provided in the other thread you posted.I don’t want to give her email out, but she gave divalarson.wordpress.com as her desired URL.
As this thread has the earlier date stamp the other thread is tagged for closure. When you post an email address in a comment box in a forum thread the software redacts it and the only people who can see the email address you post are Staff.

I looked up your sister’s account information and resent the confirmation email to the email address she listed when she signed up. If she doesn’t see the email in her inbox, please have her check the spam/junk folder to see if it ended up there. Please let me know if you need any further help with this!
