Help with Second Site??

I thought I posted about this already but I can’t find it – I basically just want help figuring out how to do this – I have a site right now, and I want to open a second site which is relevant to the site I have now but completely different (the one I have now is just a blog for health articles, recipes, etc. and then I want to have a button added to my existing site that links to this second site). The second site (which I want to have a separate domain and be its own website) I plan to sell activewear, cookbooks, personalized training and nutrition services, and more… just wondering how I go about this? I know I have heard great things about woocommerce to use for a wordpress site for selling items, so I’m going to check that out, but I just can’t figure out how to go about this second site thing… I can see the option to “switch site” when I’m in my existing WordPress admin, and so I would assume there is a way to get an entirely second site and still have it linked some way so I can access the two different sites from my same dashboard…..just not sure how to go about this…help! :) Thanks

So I think I figured out how to do the second site thing but I still have a couple questions… do I have to purchase custom design again for this second site since it has its own domain? or can I use the one I already have for my existing site for that one?

and also if I can get opinions on whether the whole second site versus sticking to same sites (even though my goal is to have them linked like both by me, both health/fitness related, but is completely a blog and the other is completely for sales of items…)
