Help with sidebar

  • Unknown's avatar

I created a blog only days ago. I am using the Dyad 2 but thinking of switching to a theme with a sidebar. And example is the Twenty Sixteen theme.
However, when I opt for the try & customize, the sidebar never shows up, whether I’m trying the Twenty Sixteen or any other sidebar theme.
Is it a case where I have to upgrade to a paid site to have that feature? Or, do I have to enter a code?
    Hoping for your help.
    Thank you!

    Hi There,

I tried to use the Twenty-Sixteen theme and I can see the sidebar.
Please Activate the theme and then try to customize it.

Also, to add a sidebar widget, go to “My site” →Appearance → Customize → Widgets. There you will find the available widget areas for your theme like Sidebar, Content Bottom 1, etc. Click on the “+” icon and add the content.

Please check the below guide for widget for more details:-

And this is the support guide for your theme:

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you need some more help :)
