Help with Switching Domain
-
Hey,
I am hosted by SiteGround for my blog, http://revealingthroughjesus.com. I switched my url on SiteGround to https://thetheologiansreservior.com and now my wordpress site cannot be accessed.
Wordpress is telling me to disconnect the site with a red exclamation mark.
I know there is a propagation phase, but my http://revealingthroughjesus.com url is turning into The Daily RFI which is not what I wrote. Has my site been taken over? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Did you just change the URL under Settings ->General in the dashboard? That is not the correct way to update the domain on a self-hosted WordPress site. For future reference, you can find the correct process documented here:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL
To fix this you’ll need SiteGround’s help, as you’ll likely need to update the domain directly in your site’s database, and you’ll need to update this in their hosting control panel as well, so please contact their support.
In this forum we can only help with sites hosted on WordPress.com, not with sites using the open source WordPress software you have on your site. The Jetpack plugin on your site allows you to manage it via the WordPress.com interface, but it does not give us any control over your site or access to your servers.
Once you have it fixed the Jetpack connection should work again, though you might need to disconnect and the reconnect with the new domain. You can contact Jetpack support directly if you need any help with that:
