Help with the Coraline theme

When I decided to see what my options are for free themes, I got blown away with the choices. :) Nice going. My only complaint is the annual fee for Custom Design. I’d have paid a one time fee and customized the Coraline them.
I love the layout and the typography for most of the text. It’s very readable. :) I’d have preferred a different link color and a slightly larger font size.
As this WordPress.com site is visible, I’d appreciate a second opinion. My only other wish is to change the background color for the outside border area to offset the white.
When I changed the background color, everything got changed to blue. No good. It was easy to undo. Did I miss something?

You username account was registered March 24, 2009 (5 years ago).
My only complaint is the annual fee for Custom Design.
Username account registered after September 1st, 2014 cannot not purchase the custom design upgrade as an individual purchase. For new accounts that do not have existing individual upgrades being renewed, most individual upgrades, except for guided transfers, premium themes, domain mapping and site redirects are now bundled into Premium and Business single plans that users can pay for annually.

Don’t worry, I thought you meant “Your”. :)
Thanks for the input on Custom Design; however, one question remains. How does the fonts used in the sidebar and links appear? Is it readable? That’s my only real concern.
Otherwise, I like everything else.
