Help With Twenty Seventeen Feature Images
-
I love the option to add the scrolling feature images on the home page of the Twenty Seventeen theme, but I would like to do it without the feature image showing on the original page it is attached to.
On the Live Demo of Twenty Seventeen, there is an image on the front page that is attached to the News page, but if you go to the News page the image is not posted at the top of the page like it is on other pages. How is this done?
Thanks.

@jonathanwylie taking a look at your site it looks like you have figured this out, has this been fully resolved?

No. Whenever I add a featured image to my blog page it shows up on the blog page and the home page. I only want to to show up on the home page. Is that possible? Guessing it is a HTML/CSS tweak? If so, I am out of luck…

Hi
I don’t think that’s possible (I tagged the thread for a member of WordPress to have a look).
But looking at your blog posts, couldn’t you change the first picture _in_ the blog text to be the featured image? That would allow you to have it both places. Maybe crop them to be a bit less high.
(You can look at https://manuschwendener.ch to see what I mean.)

Hi there,
If you like the featured image to be displayed only on your front page you can go to the Customizer > Content Options and under “Featured Images” uncheck the “Display on pages”.
If this doesn’t work or you have more questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help!
