Help with understanding the Facebook engagement

  At the bottom of my posts there are facebook, twitter, etc. sharing buttons. The numbers next to them I assume mean number of times it’s mentioned or engaged with on those social medias.

  For this post [http://blog.enotes.com/2015/03/25/teachers-who-tweet-50-educators-you-should-follow/], we haven’t posted to Facebook and there’s quite a few numbers by the Facebook icon. Is there a way to see the activity?

  This is a possibly dumb question but I can’t find an answer anywhere. Thanks! :)
