Does this mead it is registered or do I need to register it with WORDPRESS? This is all new to me and I am getting a little confused with all the tech language. My web designer is asking for all this information and I have no idea what to tell him.

Hey there,
Can you share the exact domain that you registered? It sounds like the domain was registered through legalzoom. This means that you own the domain and that legal zoom is your Registrar (essentially, the company that manages the domain on your behalf).
If you want to use your domain with WordPress.com you will need to connect or transfer your domain. Connecting the domain links it up with WordPress.com so you can use the domain with your site, but the domain is still registered with legalzoom (your Registrar). Transferring the domain will move your registration from legalzoom to WordPress.com. Either way you will own your domain. Each domain will only have one registrar but can be connected to other services such as a website or email.
If you already own a domain name with another provider, you can use that domain with your WordPress.com site. This guide will help you choose whether to connect or transfer the domain. Commonalities Between Connecting and Transferring Certain things are the same when choosing to connect or transfer your domain: Your custom domain will display your WordPress.com website. Your site’sCan you share what your designer is requesting specifically? This will help us provide better context and information for what they are requesting.
Hope this helps!
