I’m trying to add /wp-admin
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! Your classic dashboard is at:
http://books6259.wordpress.com/wp-admin/Is that what you’re looking for?
-
I think so…im so new to this and so old! (meaning clueless when it comes to anything on line) Questions:
1 – is the “wp-admin” all ready on my dashboard? why is it needed?
2 – when i post my blog on Facebook the header imagine (a vintage typewriter) doesn’t show. Is that cause I’m using wordpress.com rather than wordpress.org? i’ve been pulling my hair out with this…thanks for helping me out.Best,
Martie -
I’m not sure I understand.
I’d recommend using the interface at WordPress.com, under My Sites. It’s especially great to start with! https://learn.wordpress.com/get-published/
Header images won’t normally show on Facebook when you share your link. Instead, you should add larger images to your posts, which will be shared when you post on social media. :)

I’m using the site as a book review blog…i don’t add pictures…I only have my header and logo….each post is another book review…nothing person so no pix…does that help clarify?…and thx for the link.

thanks so much…since i’m just using the site for book reviews only is there a way i can use the same featured image without always having to add it into my latest review?
-
Yes, you can set a blog icon and Facebook will also use that. You’ll need to use the old Dashboard and then go to Settings > General. Here’s a direct link:
https://books6259.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php
On the top right of that page you can upload an image.

Rachel – thanks so much…I have my fingers crossed i can make it work…i’m too old for this…but loving it – Martie

Well Rachel…it worked on WP but when i copy and paste https://books6259.wordpress.com/ onto Facebook I still just have a black square….sigh…Martie

It’s working now! It sometimes takes a little while to update but I ran the URL for your site in the Facebook debug tool and I can see the blog icon there:

Hi Rachel,
I’m about to start “Learning the Fundamentals of WP” in the interim I’m reading and reviewing.
I’ve always done Goodreads which brought me to Netgally which is why I created my blog in the first place…to get free books before they are published. I connected WP to my FB, Twitter &Tumbler accounts and I have the Goodreads widget. My question is:
How do I stop the same review from showing up on these sites multiple times at once?
Even I find it annoying when I open my FB page and my review on the same book is posted one after the other. L
Hope you are off on this Memorial Day and that you are having a great day.

Hmm. I’m not sure how that could be happening. WordPress.com will only share each post to Facebook once. Is your Facebook page public so I can take a look?

I’m in Scotland and it’s just a typical Monday here today. But thank you :)

Hi Martie,
I don’t have a link to your Facebook account but I realise you might not want to share it publicly so I’ve sent you an email. Reply to me via email and we’ll go from there.
