Help with Weather Widget
-
Hi,
I’m trying to add a weather widget from http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/pws/components/
I’ve copied the script and pasted it into a text widget but all I get is the HTML code rather than the widget.
Where am I going wrong and/or is there a better way to add a Weather Widget?
Regards,
Ray

Most weather widgets are dynamic and require javascript. The software strips such codes out to preserve security on this multiuser blogging platform. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
However there are gigya code weather widgets we can use. please see here > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2010/09/16/widgets-for-wpcom-5-weather/ -
Hi timethief,
Thanks for such a prompt reply. You were right, the UK met office widget uses Javascript.
I’ve changed it for the gigya code one which works, but… I’ve changed the location to Brighton (in the UK) but the results must be for a different Brighton.
How can I force it to Brighton, UK?
Regards,
Ray

Hi Ray,
I’m sorry but I can’t help with this. If you go back to the post I linked to and leave a comment for Panos he will help you there. -

You’re welcome and do note that it may take time before Panos answers as we are all in different time zones. Best wishes. :)
