help with WordPress.org password

  Can someone at WordPress.com, a forum admin or a moderator or something, give me a contact email with someone at the WordPress.org Forums? I can’t find a way to contact them anywhere on the site! I am trying to ask a question in the forums and can’t get a password sent to me. The “forgot password” link isn’t helping–I just get an email with a link back to the “forgot password” page. I’m running in a hamster wheel here. Help!

  Did you click on the URL you got the first time? It should look like this:

  If you wanted to reset your password, you may do so by visiting the following address:

  http://wordpress.org/support/bb-reset-password.php?key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  If you don’t want to reset your password, just ignore this email. Thanks!

  When you click on it, you land back on ANOTHER “Forgot Password” page and you get an e-mail that looks like this:

  Your username is: xxxxxxxxxx
  Your password is: xxxxxxxxxx

  You can now log in: http://wordpress.org/support/

  Enjoy!

  See? It’s not that hard if you make the effort!

  Thanks for taking the time to help airodyssey, but I never get the second email with the username and password. Do you have any idea how to contact these guys?

  The Forum’s for WordPress.COM & WordPress.ORG are completely separate for user-name and password as well as for any WordPress.ORG blog site (your own self hosted blog).

  If all else fails you should be able to open a second or new account for WordPress.ORG forum, worst case is you might need a second email address to have the confirmation sent to (been a while since I registered at .ORG).
