Hi, can you explain a bit more what you are wanting here? Are you talking about a greyish overall background, or are you wanting some sort of gradient from top to bottom?

I wanted a red background behind my words on my site. I had pictures at the top but seems unable to put a background to the text.
Also, How do I do a gallery of pictures or videos?
Any help would be a appreciated, thanks.

Hi there, give the following a try. It uses RGB color with an alpha transparency. The last number in the parentheses is the transparency. The closer to 0 the more transparent. The closer to 1, the more opaque.
#page { background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.3); }Let me know what you think.

Hi yes , I put this at the bottm/top of HTML format on the page? I did put it in at the bottom but all that came up was this on the page itself when updated.

It depends. the 255, 255, 255 I gave as an example is actually white, but because it has a 0.3 transparency, it appear a light reddish color.
Are you wanting a solid color? If you are looking for a solid color with no transparency, then I would suggest a hex color code. This is a good resource for web safe colors: http://cloford.com/resources/colours/websafe2.htm .
