Helping people get subscribed

  • Unknown's avatar

Two days ago I helped a friend subscribe to my blog. She confirmed, but I never got the confirmation. About two weeks ago, I got a message from you saying that “someone” had subscribed to the blog, but there was no e-mail. The previous confirmations had e-mails. Something seems wrong.

You can see followers and their details in your stats page by clicking on the followers numbers in the bottom left part of your stats screen.

There was an issue preventing invitations from appearing as received in some cases so that might be the reason for you not seeing your friend’s confirmation. This problem has been fixed.

Regarding “Someone” in the following emails – we’re working on it, and hopefully the emails will be more helpful soon.

I just called my friend from subscibing yesterday and yes, she did confirm. But there’s no evidence of her. This has been happening, I think. Freaks me out.

  • Can you please tell me the first 4 characters of her email address?

Okay, so it’s five letters and a dot.

Honestly, I’m pretty sure others have gotten on. First I quit receiving confirmation notes at all. I was about to send out another blast to announce it, but I can’t until this gets fixed. I know there’s the one.

Thanks! I’m not able to find her in the list of subscribers. I’ve just sent you a private email asking for her full address so we can take a closer look.

I got an email yesterday that she’d gotten her confirmation and confirmed. Her e-mail address is Votta, Peg Margaret. [email address removed from public forum] I looked myself on the list and saw that nothing had been added in weeks, when I KNOW there were a couple more. I did get a “someone” subscribed to my blog. But in the past “someone” was an email address when I could confirm, more or less, whether I knew them. “Someone” seems like a problem. I don’t know how to forward you the e-mail from WordPress. Would LOVE help with this because I’m launched another website and want to link to this blog and have it be NON-frustrating. I totally appreciate your help.

  • Would you please forward the email to support@wordpress.com ?
