Hemingway: Feature Photos on Posts sizing issue

    Hi there,

My website is in Hemingway (non-customizable).
When I create a blog post, I set a small feature photo so that it shows up as a thumbnail on the blog home page. The problem is that the feature photo also becomes the “cover photo” in the post header. Because I’ve chosen a small one, it becomes very distorted when stretched across the top of the screen.
    For example: http://virtuworldtravel.com/2015/08/05/bold-brazil-from-rio-to-the-rainforest/

Is there any way to prevent this, or to revert to the main “cover photo” of my website without losing the feature photo in the blog home page?

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The recommended size for featured images in Hemingway is 1280 × 426px. If you make sure to upload images that are at least that large you’ll avoid the distortion you’ve observed.

    Hi there,
Thanks for responding. The issue there is that I really want the feature images to be Thumbnail size, so that they don’t take up too much space on the Blog main page. Can I not have it both ways?

Hemingway Rewritten is designed to display featured images both on the blog index and on single posts.

With custom CSS (available with the Premium or Business plans) you could experiment with techniques like hiding the featured image on single posts so that they only appear on the blog index, or displaying a different image on single posts.

If you decided to go that route you get help with the code in the CSS Customization foroum:
