Hemingway Rewritten – Block Quote vs Quote Post Format
-
When in the customizer, the choice for changing colors are limited. I only have access to change the “Main Accent” color.
Here’s the problem. With the default (green color that I want to be #039be5), the quote post format background is a great slate/dark color. If I change the accent color, the background of the quote turns very light grey with a light font over the top. In addition, the accent color for the cite has some sort of color shift applied to it, causing #039be5 to shift to be a dark blue.
When I make changes to the block quote through CSS it only changes the colors on the block quotes inside of a standard post, not on a quote post format.
What is the CSS lingo for me to make the changes to:
1. The quote post format
2. The block quote inside of a standard posthttps://blog.rexbarrett.com is the location I’m trying to figure all this out.

Hi –
Thanks for getting in touch. I’m happy to take a closer look at the CSS. I see that there has been a bunch of CSS added recently. Does this still need worked on?
