Hemingway Rewritten Excerpts and Images

  I am using Hemingway Rewritten, I know that I can use the read more tag to have a summary of my posting on my index page. But does the excerpt function work for index pages? What is the CSS code so that I can use the excerpt function on the index page? How do I insert a photo into my excerpts?
