Hemingway Rewritten – how to make page title invisible
-
How do I make the page title invisible? I don’t want the titles from the navigation bar on the page itself.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! If you want to change this bit of the theme designer’s programming, you do need the Custom Design upgrade. If you choose to do this, I am happy to give you the CSS code you can use to hide those Page Titles. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Ok, that’s what I thought. I was hoping there was a work around without having to upgrade.

Hi there, I came up with a sneaky solution for you, although it’s not optimal. You may like the way it functions.
This can only be done after you’ve created and saved your pages with their names.
1. Open the About in the Page → All Pages editor.
2. Delete the title from the Page. Click Update.
3. Copy the Permalink located directly below the empty title field.
4. Click Appearance → Menus.
5. Click Create a New Menu. Call it whatever you like and save it.
6. In the right-hand column, you’ll see you can click on Pages, Links, and Categories. Click Links.
7. In the URL field, add the Permalink you copied.
8. In your Title field, add “About.”
9. Under Menu Settings, click Primary Menu, so your new custom menu will be at the top of the site.
10. Click Save Menu. This will have to be done for each page individually.
I know it’s a lengthy process, but you can maintain your site in this manner, if you like the aesthetic results of adjusting these changes. Not as flexible or automatic as the Custom Design upgrade, but it may suit your needs.
I hope this helps! Best wishes to you.
