Hemingway rewritten – image in post excerpt on main page
-
Hello,
I would like to ask you how to customize the theme, to make images appear in post excerpt on the main page. Here’s an example: https://mynameismitchell.wordpress.com/
And that’s my blog: https://brushwarriors.wordpress.com/
I will be grateful for any help, Thank you.

Hi there!
Hemingway Rewritten is designed to show Featured Images in the header of individual posts, and on the blog page for Sticky Posts as the support guide mentions:
Featured images uploaded to Sticky Posts are displayed on the blog and archives, above the post content. Non-sticky posts’ featured images are not displayed on the blog or archives.
So if you are using a Featured Image on a post, you need to make your post sticky in order to show it on a front blog page.
On the other hand, you can always add an Image (not a Featured one) to any of your posts without making them sticky. But if you want to show excerpts of posts on the front page, you will have to create your own excerpts by adding the Read More tag to every post and in Blog Display (Customizer > Content Option) select the full post option instead of the post excerpt one.
I hope it makes sense! Please feel free to reach if you have any other questions or need some more help :)

Hi Stefbarz,
Thank you very much for your response! The Read more tag was exactly the solution I was looking for :)
I was aware of the “sticky post” option, but didn’t know about the <!–more–> tag. Thanks again! -
