Hemingway Rewritten Line Spacing
-
Switching from the 20-10 theme to Hemingway Rewritten, the spacing between lines within a paragraph is double-spaced, which results in to much white space. Other blogs I have seen using Hemingway Rewritten don’t seem to have the double spacing. How can I get back to the 1.5 spacing in the text? I am new to CSS.

Hi, add the following and adjust as desired.
body, button, input, select, textarea { line-height: 1.7em; } -
Thank you for your response. I typed the coding in as shown on lines 1, 2 and 3 and saved it. However, the spacing remained the same. I am probably missing something.
-
After typing it in, did you adjust the 1.7em value to your desired line height? 1.5 would be roughly equivalent to a 1.5 line spacing.

Still not changing the spacing. This is the way I am going about it.
Appearance>Custom Design>CSS Edit1 /*
2 body, button, input, select, textarea (
3 line-height: 1.5em;
4 )
5 */Thank you for your patience.

Hi, the /* and */ at the beginning and end of your code is the designations for a note, which means it will not apply what is in between those two. Also, you used parenthesis instead of curly brackets in the code.
I’ve gone into your CSS and fixed it for you.

Thank you very much for your help. Especially brackets vs. parenthesis.
Duh! I am actually starting a HTML/CSS class tomorrow. Obviously, I need it.

No problem, and you are welcome, and best of luck with your classes.
(And we are all beginners at one time. :)
