Hemingway Rewritten Post Excerpt Settings

    Hello!

I have run into some troubles with the home page of my blog. Under the ‘reading’ settings page, I have the home page set to show an excerpt of my posts rather than the full posts, but I noticed that (unlike the live demo for the theme) none of the images I have included in my post show up with my post excepts. As a result the home page of my blog looks bland and text-heavy. Is there a way to change this? If not, is there a theme I could use which would correct this issue?

I realize this is a little difficult to explain with words. I took a few screenshots of what it currently looks like vs. what I would like it to look like, but I didn’t realize I would be unable to include them in my forum post. If any of what I have written is unclear I would be happy to clarify.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Under the ‘reading’ settings page, I have the home page set to show an excerpt of my posts rather than the full posts,…

You can’t set the blog page to display excerpt at Reading Settings. You can do so at Customize > Content Options > Blog Display, with the Hemingway Rewritten theme activated.

but I noticed that (unlike the live demo for the theme) none of the images I have included in my post show up with my post excepts.

The Hemingway Rewritten theme guide says:

Featured images set for Sticky Posts are displayed on the blog and archives above the post content.

So the blog page will only display featured images on posts that are marked sticky. Regarding sticky posts, see the Post Visibility support page.

I took a few screenshots of what it currently looks like vs. what I would like it to look like, but I didn’t realize I would be unable to include them in my forum post.

See the Sharing your screenshot section of the Making a Screenshot support page.
