Hemingway Rewritten theme – static front page, can't add blog to menu
-
I’m using the “Hemingway Rewritten” theme and I’ve set up a static home page. I would like to add my blog to the primary menu, but it’s not an option
In the pages section, the “blog posts” page is greyed out and has the message “not in use”. On my other blog (different theme), the “blog posts” page has the message ‘”my blog” page is showing your latest posts” and works even though it’s not the home page.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Set up instructions for your theme are at https://wordpress.com/theme/hemingway-rewritten
The URL of your site is the Home page by default.
This is a one or the other situation. You can create a static front page, and then a separate page for all your published posts. You can do that and the first step is to create two pages and then designate them appropriately.
(1) All posts on the front page which is also called the home page and is the URL of the site by default.
(2) Or a static front page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ and all posts on a different page. In that case you can create a Page for the Home page https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/#create-a-new-page first, then create one for your Posts/Blog. Lastly, you designate a static front page.
Optional – Create a blog page https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/#optional-create-a-blog-page
