Hemingway template

Hi there,
You’ll need to turn on the Advanced Navigation in your Account Settings>Dashboard Appearance to access the Classic Editor. Here’s more about that:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-settings/#dashboard-appearance.The Classic Editor is currently available, but in the long run, you’ll want to give the full Block Editor or the Classic Block a workout as the WordPress core development team does plan to phase this editor out in the future. The more you use it, the easier it will become.
We also have a guide specifically for writers and bloggers that you can find here https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor-for-writers-bloggers/.I hope that helps!

Hi again. Done. Thanks. Regarding the Hemingway Rewritten template, it is a great pity WordPress wants to get rid of it because I – and apparently a whole host of other people – find it to be perfect for my blogs. It’s a classic. I’m actually preparing a few more blogs all using this template. I think it is rather like wanting to get rid of a Rolls Royce. Does not make sense… Thanks again for your help. R

We have no immediate plans to retire Hemingway Rewritten, and the theme is still available to activate on new sites.
But themes do become outdated over time, and at some point any theme reaches a state where it’s no longer feasible to continue updating and maintaining it. This will eventually happen to Hemingway Rewritten as well, at which point it will be retired.

Hi again and thank you for getting back. Probably costs associated with bandwidth, storage, servers, etc. Good to know there are no immediate plans to retire Hemingway Rewritten. I reckon I’m lucky. Thanks again. R
