Hemingway Theme – remove theme name

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I am really new to wordpress, so forgive me if I am totally missing something.

I am trying to make a few changes to the Hemingway theme:

    1. Remove the title of the static home page (so that it doesn’t say Home)
    2. Remove to leave a reply box ( I have turned off discussions on the page, but the reply box is still there)
    3. Remove the theme name and information at the very bottom

Can someone point me into the right direction in making these customizations?

    Thanks!
    Nicole

    3) if you remove the theme name or WordPress.COM credits your blog will be suspended, you can add info before or after them, usually people add copyright info

    Current Terms of Service:

    11. Attribution. Automattic reserves the right to display attribution links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com,’ theme author, and font attribution in your blog footer or toolbar. Footer credits and the WordPress.com toolbar may not be altered or removed regardless of upgrades purchased.

May I remove the Admin Bar, credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?

All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the Admin Bar (the dark bar that appears at the top of WordPress.com sites when logged in) as well as credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide or alter text or links for the footer credits or the toolbar. Modifying the style of the footer text (i.e. colors and font size) is fine as long as it’s still readable.

    1) use a custom menu

    2) if the page or post was already published you need to remove the box for the specific post or page – go to the edit page to do that – hidden down at the bottom of the editor
