Hemingway’s Bottombar

how do i modify the name of the different blocks on the Hemingway’s Bottombar?
-
No we cannot edit our blog templates here. You can “cover it up” with a css customization upgrade.
-
Heminway is sort of a “what you see is what you get” theme and the widgets that are displayed at the bottom of the page cannot be changed.

I’m assuming by bottom bar that you mean the “footer” of the theme. If you want to cover up the name of the designer at the very bottom in the last line of the theme this can be done with css. However, if what you want to do is to change the functionality of the widgets in the footer area this cannot be done as we cannot edit our underlying templates.

Other themes of course allow widgets to be changed and arranged, but not Hemingway. -
-
Plus, it’s not really the done thing to want to hide the name of the designer of your theme!
-
No kidding but bloggers do it all the time. They replace the designer’s name with a blogger’s copyright as though they created the theme.

mmm….i´ve seen some hemingway pages that have change this bloks.

Okay, I’m not sure what you’re referring to now. That blog has exactly the same footer as yours. Which text do you mean?

The Hemmingway theme does not have a full compliment of widgets like the other themes do.

You are seeing this message because the theme you are currently using isn’t widget-aware, meaning that it has no sidebars that you are able to change. For information on making your theme widget-aware, please follow these instructions. http://automattic.com/code/widgets/themes/ -

They have the CSS upgrade and have modified the CSS, which is not suggested for those without CSS experience. The CSS upgrade costs $15US for a year, which gives you the ability to modify the CSS for one year. At the end of that year, if you do not pay an additional $15, then you are no longer able to modify the CSS, BUT the changes you have made will remain in place.
