Here’s something.

First of all I am using the Monotone Photo-blog Theme.
So this is just an idea I had about something I am looking to do with my blog. http://www.adamhphoto.wordpress.com (http:www.adamhphoto.com)
Anyways, I am wondering if anyone knows how I could have one photo as a static home page? once clicked, it would show one photo with the title, tag, catagory, being the type of photo’s shown in a small gallery below the photo and title. once one is done looking through one gallery, they click through to the next page, so it’d be like… Static Home –> Action –> Landscape –> Sunset, etc etc. Is this doable at all? It really would make it seem more like an Online Portfolio, one of which I’d have physically, but online, that wouldn’t be getting updated that often. It would just be there. Very little wording.
I’m also slowly checking out web hosts and .org if thats the way I’v gotta go. (mt) with WordPress looks sick but $20/m whereas GoDaddy (where I got my domain) is $4/m but all super techy and crazy and I don’t understand any of it… Can this be done with wp.com at all? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Monotone is a unique theme and trying to work around its oddities is something of a challenge. The best info I’ve found is at wptips http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/29/remarks-on-monotone/
There are other themes that are perfectly serviceable as photoblogs, The Journalist and Vigilance being two I can think of off the top of my head.
