Hero theme design issues

  Hero Theme Home promos don’t seem to work for me; There are two columns titled “Seiten” and “Start here” that I didn’t produce nor can I get rid of them.

  Hi there,

  Those columns at the bottom of your page are actually Widgets in the Footer Widget Areas of your theme.

  You can change them by going to Appearance > Widgets in your dashboard. Click on “First Footer Widget Area” on the right to see the widget in the left column, and click on “Second Footer Widget Area” to see the widget in the right column. You can change or remove those widgets if you don’t want to use them on your site.

  Thanks loads for the help, removing the widgets worked. I still can’t get the home promos to work, do you have a tip for me? Thanks…

  I see that you have four tags set up (under Posts > Tags in your dashboard), but you haven’t written any posts yet. You will need to write at least one post using a tag that you want to use in the promo areas. (You can add the tag to the post when you create the post.)

  Then, you can go to Appearance > Customize and select “Home Promos,” and the promo area drop down menus will appear. You can pick the tags you want to use in each area there.
