Hero theme – display blogs in 2 columns

Thanks @thesacredpath and staff-happychia – I need to play around with the menu to see if it’s what I’m after, otherwise, I’ll have to think of an alternative.
Also, since reducing the spacing of my menu, the 2nd-level menus don’t behave correctly i.e. when I hover over Destinations, then try to select a category, it flicks off and I can’t select. Not sure what the issue is here, do I need to add more padding again or is something else wrong?

Can I add the social icons in a text widget on the same line as my nav menu but on the right-side of the menu? Or, will this display in a side-bar of the site if it’s a text widget?

Text widget appears on the sidebar, not on the menu.
So please don’t add social icons to the text widget. What @thesacredpath suggested was to add the social icons to the menu and use custom links.

Thanks again. I’ve added 2 social icons so far as a test but they’re too big and white for my theme, so I’ll search for smaller fainter ones.
I’ve tried to align the social icons left and the menu right but this is not compatible for tablet view, any ideas – ideally, I would like to split the menu options from the icons.
Also, I’d like to add my copyright info on every page in the footer (either right or centre). How do I do this for this theme?
A little more tweaking and then I’m finished – thanks for all your help! I much prefer this theme to the Hero theme. -
Hi, for the social icons, I see you have the menu on the left and social icons on the right. When the touch menu activates, I see that there is no background to the menu making it hard to read the labels. Modify the following rule in your CSS to look like this so that the menu appears on top instead of hidden behind the content,
#site-navigation { height: 40px; position: relative; z-index: 100; }and then add this to add a background color to the menu.
.menu-destinations-container { background: #000; } -
many thanks @sacredpath but I plugged that code in and I couldn’t see anything different, so I removed it once more.
I’ve re-sized the icons and these look better. Also removed the spacing so that the menu and icons display on the right again as with the other way, it wasn’t displaying correctly for a tablet.
