Hew theme, how get back to default color palette?
-
Hello!
I was playing with my blog and choose the HEW theme for it. After playing with menus, fonts and colors I saw that I cannot get back to the original “yellow” color scheme.I’ve tried to modify it at first in a “private mode” window of Chrome, fearing a cookie preference, then over Safari (fearing a broken compatibility with my Chrome Beta installation and WP.com).
Still no luck. Any idea on how to solve this?
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there! Your theme is reset to the original colors, so you’ll see the yellow there again now.
If you switch it away again, there is a small “default” button above the background color box that will take it back to the original colors.
Let me know if you have any questions! :)

Ehm … I still see it grey!

I am a 10+ years old WordPress.com user and I know the platform. Clicking on default give me the preview right, but the actual site still has not yellow as the default color :-(

Huh, odd.
When I first refreshed I saw yellow, but now that I go back it’s grey again. I’ll look into a solution for getting the yellow to stick (not just preview!) and update you here when I’ve got a solution. :)

This, instead, is me trying to use the Customize panel …

Thanks for clarifying! I see what you mean and was able to replicate it on another site with the Hew theme.
For now, your site is set back to the default yellow (seriously, this time!), however if you switch to one of the other palettes again, I believe the same issue will occur.
I’ve reported the issue and it’s being looked into… I’ll update here when I have more information.

It was a bug in the theme.
I opened a ticket for it since you reported it here, and Thomas fixed it by updating the theme’s color annotations that were causing the problem. :)
