how to make post appear
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.

See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash(If you are referring to a Page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)
I recommend:
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
Always allow pages to fully load before clicking any other links.
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/ -

how do i make a post appear on home page and another page?
There is only one page in any blog that we can post to and by default it’s the front page of the blog. Though we cannot post to more than one page we can create the appearance we have done so. What’s critical is knowing that the static pages we blogger create will never automatically update. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ Only dynamic Categories pages will automatically update when we publish posts.
Below is an example of a static page URL. Study it closely and note that no static Page can automatically update.

http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/category/basic-blogging/Setting up a menu is easy as pie, provided you know the differences between Posts and Pages, and the differences between static Pages, (which will never automatically update) and dynamic Categories pages which will automatically update when you publish Posts with Categories assigned to them.

There are many common errors, misunderstandings and misconceptions when creating custom menus and there are some tweaks you can use to improve your custom menu as well.
