This isn’t a problem that we’re hearing from other users at this time. So let’s troubleshoot a bit.
1. Can you give an example of a specific post that you cannot “like”?
2. On sites that you cannot “like” posts, can you not see the like button? Or does the button show up but nothing happen when you click it?
3. What browser are you using? Does the same thing happen if you try a different browser? Are you using any browser extensions? Can you try disabling them and seeing if that changes things?

2. The LIKE button does show, but clicking on it only produces an empty BOX to the left and NO LIKE! The box says “accountblank”. That started a few months ago. NOW, none of my other WordPress sites get LIKES from anyone in the past two days. They include: muckibr.wordpress.com, muckibr2.wordpress.com, muckibr3.wordpress.com, muckibr4.wordpress.com. That started about 2 days ago, after muckibr3,wordpress.come receive a number of LIKES and FOLLOWS, which have all stopped now.
3. I use Google CHROME for jesustaught.wordpress.com and Apple SAFARI for the others. I am sure many other browsers are being used and NONE is working to post LIKES or FOLLOWS on ym sites any longer. -
I tested on your latest post, and it’s working just fine for me under Firefox 83, Safari 14.0.1, and Vivaldi 3.4.2066.106.
First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

If it works fine then explain to me why I received 13 LIKES on muckibr3.wordpress.com on November 15th and NONE SINCE?
The thing is STILL BROKEN.
WordPress BROKE IT!

I did post a Like on your lastest post with the three browsers mentioned above. I then removed that Like, each time.
There was no issue either time.

If YOU can post a LIKE then others should be able to also, right? BUT THEY CAN’T. It has NOTHING TO DO with my browswer, because YOU posted a LIKE to it. It has to do with WordPress, PREVENTING anyone outside of WordPress from posting a LIKE or a FOLLOW.
YOU can post a LIKE becuase your work for WordPress.
Anyone who does NOT work for WordPress is PREVENTED from posting a LIKE or a FOLLOW.
What about the jesustaught.wordpress.com site? Did YOU test that? Probably not.

The like buttons work. I can see you were sent an email notifications of me “liking” one of the posts (which I then unliked.)
If someone is complaining that they cannot like posts on your sites, please send them our way and we’ll help them troubleshoot.
If you are having trouble clicking like, please log in with another browser and testing the like function to rule out whether that is an issue.
Also, I can understand you’re frustrated. We do have community standards in these forums, though, so please be sure you’re abiding by them.

Regarding this:
It has to do with WordPress, PREVENTING anyone outside of WordPress from posting a LIKE or a FOLLOW.
One does have to be logged into a WordPress account to use the Like feature or the option to follow the post in the reader. If they are logged out, though, they will still have an option to follow by email, in the lower-right corner of the site. You can test that when you try your test in another browser. If you are logged out, you will see that and can try it out.
Then, log in to test the like button, and let us know how it goes.

You really didn’t NOTICE anything. I can ‘LIKE’ my OWN posts IF I log on using SAFARI. I cannot ‘LIKE’ any other posts but MY OWN. I have tried.
Plus, I cannot even like my OWN posts if I log on under CHROME.
WordPress is SCREWED-UP. YOU people need to UNCSREW IT, because NO ONE ELSE can ‘LIKE’ my posts no matter what browser they use.

For what it’s worth. I just liked (then unliked as I don’t want it left there) two posts on your Jesus Taught blog. The like button worked for me, and I am not staff.

Just noting my test likes were from Chrome on Mac.
It’s likely a browser extension or setting on your system.

As I said, this all started going bad a few months ago when WordPress forced the BLOCK EDITOR on us, The editor before that one was fine. It worked. I was able to ‘LIKE’ all my sites from CHROME with the Circled Question Mark avatar I used at that time. Go through my posts if you are curious as to when It stopped working. The Circles Question Mark avatar STOPS at that date, because that is when it stopped working.
It’s moot now. WordPress is broken. It finally broke in the past few days when NO ONE was able to ‘LIKE’ any of my sites, no matter what browser they used. I have not had a ‘LIKE’ or a ‘FOLLOW’ since November 15.
Doesn’t really matter if WordPress refuses to fix the problem. I will quit using WordPress because apparently it supports Trump and not Biden. No problem. I understand. Trump lies and some people prefer lies to HONEST TRUTH.
