  I had this wordpress blog back in 2015. I want to get it rolling again. Can I access all my old blog post?

  It looks like this domain was hosted with HostGator. Do you still own this domain? Do you have a current plan with HostGator?

  HI Yes. I had it hosted with HostGator when I started back in 2015. I did some blog posts then I stopped and just kinda let things go.

  Fastforward I my domain is active as of now but not sure what I need to do in terms of connecting with wordpress again.

  Also I am wondering if it’s possible to get my old blog posts back.

  I really appreciate your help!

  I see. So in this case, your website was running the open source WordPress.org software.

  Your best bet is to contact HostGator and see if they can do anything since they were the ones hosting the content/blog posts.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org – What is the difference?

  I finally heard back from Hostgator. They can’t get my data back. Its OK However I think I might actually have it backed up somewhere.

  I always get so confused with my wordpress, Studio Press Theme and genesis.

  Would you know where I log in so I can start posting/building my blog again?

  Hi-

  If you no longer host with HostGator, in order to use the Genesis theme you can sign up with them again or another host. You’ll then need to install your theme. This method would be using WordPress.org software.

  For help with WordPress sites hosted anywhere other than WordPress.com you can visit the following forum: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  You could also host here at WordPress.com with a free or upgraded plan. Note though, in order to use your own theme here you will need to upgrade to the Business plan. There are plenty of themes available with the free and premium plans too. It all depends on what you’d like to do.

  This would use the username and password you’re logged into these forums with.
