    Hi there!

I think there has been some confusion. A domain registration is free for the first year with the purchase of a yearly WordPress.com plan. This means if you upgrade to a yearly WordPress.com plan, you can register your domain, which is $12/year (for .com domains), for free.

I see you registered just the domain without any WordPress.com plan. You can set it as the primary address by upgrading to a WordPress.com plan.

If you upgrade to a yearly WordPress.com plan, we can refund the $12 domain registration fee, as you’ll get the domain included with your WordPress.com plan for the first year.

You can upgrade using the button below and reply here to let us know:

After you’ve upgraded to a yearly plan, I’ll refund the $12.

Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
