Hi :) Are we able to add a catagory within a catagory? A subcatagory?

  Hi Guys and Gals :) Thanks in advance.

  I was wondering how you make a catagory within a catagory – a subcatagory.

  Example … let’s say I created a catagory called “Montreal”.
  within this catagory, I would like to create sub-catagories such as “Parks”, “Food”, “Tourism” …. etc ….

  Instead of having a whole bunch of unorganized photos of Montreal related content. So – visitors can click on the Montreal link and then chose the option of what in Montreal they are looking for or interested in.

  It should look like this (I hope this works)

  Montreal
  – Parks
  – Restaurants
  – Tourism
  – etc …

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there! Yes, this is possible. Click on the “Categories” option under the “Posts” section of your blog’s dashboard. Create the main, or “parent,” category first. In your case, the parent category would be “Montreal.” To create the sub-categories, or “children,” create the sub-category and use the drop-down menu labeled “Parent.” This menu lists all of your main categories. When you create your sub-categories, such as “Parks” or “Food,” be sure to list “Montreal” as the parent category in the drop down menu and you should be good to go!

  Thanks so much roaringout – I followed your advice and after doing as you instructed, all I had left to do was change an option in the “widgit” and now my wordpress looks perfect :)

  It took me awhile but – to find your widgets – i click on my name (blog title) and then click on “Widgets” – once that window opens – i click on “Catagories” and i only checked : Show hierarchy

  Now my main catagory is listed with the subcatagories – as they should be :)

  Wonderful, so glad it worked out for you! I checked out your blog and the categories look snazzy :)

  Also, the beach at Punta Cana looks beautiful! I will have to put the Dominican Republic on my travel list.
